Have you Ever been Swept Off Your Feet?

In both cases – whether the bubble was inflated with positive or negative energy – the participants in the bubble are being swept away further and further away from actual physical reality and start to see everything either ‘extremely negatively’ or ‘extremely positively’ – neither experience is grounded in reality – because the physical is neither positive or negative – it just is what it is.

And Then You Crash – Meconomics

In this little series, we’ve been investigating the phenomenon of inflation, how we in our daily lives participate in ‘inflating our reality’ and so, how we are on a personal level participating in the same principles/dynamics that we see playing out on a bigger scale when it comes to inflation, speculative bubbles and financial market crashes.

Welcoming New Life with Living Income Guaranteed

Comfort, security and nurturing are all things we wish are present when a baby comes into this world. Yet, these conditions are not a reality for many babies, as parents themselves like these things in their lives. In Pietermaritzburg, the capital of KwaZulu Natal province in South Africa, 3 to 5 babies are…

Humanity Washed Ashore

This was an excerpt of just one of the stories about the boy. Over the last few days, dozens have been written and published on various major news sites. What is more striking than the content of the posts, is the comments that are left on these articles. What is humanity’s response to such images, to such news?

Voting Fun – What does it Feel Like to Have a Say?

Now – before such increased direct political participation is a reality – let’s do a little test to see what it feels like. So – here are some mock-questions where you’re asked to give your input. Imagine that this relates to your direct reality (eg. your town) – and your answer has a weight that influences the outcome of the decision. Of course, in reality…

Do You Know the Stakes of the Bets you Place? - Meconomics

This blogpost is a continuation to:

Reality in a Bubble – Meconomics
Inflating Reality Much? – Meconomics

Read the previous posts for context.

I ended off my previous post with the following:

“When we start reacting inside ourselves (in the experiential reality/dimension) to what we hear/see in our physical reality, we change the way we perceive reality. If your partner forgot to buy toothpaste, then in physical reality, this means: your partner forgot to buy toothpaste. (Okay, that may sound silly, but it’s actually so silly that most of us don’t recognize how complicated we make our lives.) In your experiential reality, if your partner forgot to buy toothpaste, it can mean: “My partner doesn’t care about me”; “My partner is unreliable”; “I have to think of everything in this relationship”, “I do so much for him/her and he/she can’t even do this one little thing for me”.

So – we have this nasty habit of inflating something that happens in our physical reality through interpreting it and reacting to it in our experiential reality – making it seem bigger than it actually is. I’m sure you can relate to such moments, they occur so often that we have come to accept them as ‘normal’ – but let’s continue looking at them a bit further so we can really grasp and understand what it is we’re doing in such moments and how it creates a direct line of responsibility from ourselves to the phenomenon of speculative bubbles and the consequences they create in people’s lives.”

We can identify three stages when it comes to inflating things in our reality:
1.    the start/onset,
2.    the process of inflation,
3.    the popping of the bubble.

Let’s look at each of these stages in turn so we can really go into the nitty-gritty of how this works, what we participate in, how we actually create these bubbles. When it comes to meconomics – the better we understand ourselves, how these things work in our own personal lives on a small scale, the more empowered we are to understand and change how the same is manifested on a large scale in the economy.

1.    The Start/Onset of Inflation Bubbles in our Lives

We’ve looked at how we’re working with two realities or dimensions of reality – the physical reality and the experiential reality. We saw how, when something happens in our physical reality, that we pick up with our physical senses, we often INTERPRET these events to have a particular ‘meaning’. So – you’ve got your physical reality, you’ve got your physical senses like hearing, touch, smell, etc with which you take in information of what happens around you – but then – you also have an inner experiential reality through which the information is ‘filtered’ and where you add additional meaning and interpretations to what happens in your physical reality.

So, if we take the fictional example of your partner forgetting to buy toothpaste – what you pick up through your physical senses is just that: your partner forgot to buy toothpaste. But now – that information gets filtered through your inner experiential reality, which can be for instance all the memories of when he forgot to do something, or all the memories where you went out of your way to do something for him when he asked you to – and then together with that – all the experiences, emotions, feelings you’ve had in those previous memories. So – even though the information that is ‘coming in’ from your environment is: “your partner forgot to buy toothpaste” – what you end up experiencing and perceiving can be “he’s such an ass”.

(Little side-note: I’m here using the viewpoint of a female and the partner who forgot to buy the toothpaste as being a male to cut down on having to write him/her – but obviously, you can switch the roles and genders around, it goes both ways. So, if you’re a guy reading this, then just imagine the partner being a woman who forgot to buy toothpaste and the eventual experience being “she’s such a bitch”.)

What is interesting about this, is that it is actually a form of speculating. What is speculating? It is to “form a theory or conjecture about a subject without firm evidence.” In this example, the conclusion or theory is that ‘your partner is an ass’ and that’s why he forgot to buy tooth paste. You don’t have any firm evidence, because you’re just using your own memories and experiences as a reference and assuming that they provide you with solid proof, but they don’t really. In terms of what happened ‘right now’, in that ‘that’ moment – all you’ve got is that your partner forgot to buy toothpaste, everything else that you think about it or feel about it, is based on speculation.

When it comes to speculating in the financial market, the same happens – you’re looking at different indicators and factors, what direction things seem to be moving in – from that you make assumptions about what will happen in the future and from there, you make your investment decisions. You have no certainty beforehand, you’re only interpreting data and trying to derive ‘meaning’ from it and then trying to project this meaning in the future to see where you would best invest. Speculation in the financial market is an investment with the hope of gain, but with a risk of loss – wherein your decision-making is based on assumptions/conjectures/guesses. In other words: you’re placing a bet, you’re gambling.

If we bring this back to our personal lives where we interpret what happens in our physical reality by filtering it through our inner experiential reality, we’re actually placing a bet as well. It is a choice, for instance, to believe your perception and interpretation that ‘your partner is an ass’ to be true – you’re betting on it being true. And what are you placing in the balance? The future of your relationship.

You have to remember, we’re slowing things down here – in those moments, it all happens in a blink of an eye. You ask your partner about the toothpaste – he says he forgot – and next thing you’re already saying ‘Gee, you’re such an ass!!’. Everything that we looked at here, happens in that tiny fraction of a moment between hearing he forgot the toothpaste and speaking to him in response. Because it all moves so fast, we often don’t realize how it is in those fractions of moments that we’re actually busy creating/starting an inflation bubble. Yet, it’s in those fractions of moments that the first point of responsibility lies: you interpreted, you chose, you made a bet – and went forward with it.

What do I mean with ‘and went forward with it’. Once you’ve interpreted your partner’s forgetfulness as meaning that ‘he’s an ass’ – then that is how you see him, how you will speak to him, how you will approach him. In other words – you’re actually no longer speaking to your partner as the person standing in front of you, you’re speaking to your own interpretation of who you perceive your partner to be. This is the moment where you’re creating a shift/rift in your reality – from remaining grounded in the physical reality – to entering a ‘bubble’.

Inflating Reality Much? - Meconomics

This post is a continuation to:

Reality in a Bubble – Meconomics

In my previous post we discussed speculative bubbles in the economy, where we saw how prices of assets increase through a process of speculation over and above the ‘real prices’ (which would reflect their actual value). We say the prices are ‘inflated’ (just like how you inflate a balloon or bubble) – and we looked at some of the major damage that those speculative bubbles can create, especially after they pop, where we looked at the example of the Greek economy.

How are Speculative Bubbles in the economy a reflection of bubbles we create in our personal lives?

Maybe let’s start with the following question: have you ever had an argument with a friend, family member or partner where the initial point of disagreement or the initial issue is blown entirely out of proportion? A conversation with your partner can start, for instance, with ‘did you remember to buy us toothpaste?’ and end up in a full-blown fight with shouting and tears. And then when you calm down, you realize you just broke up with your partner – you can’t remember how the fight started but suddenly your life looks very different. How does that happen? How do we do that?

We do it through a process of inflation – have a look, I twice used some form of the word ‘blowing’ in the above paragraph: blowing something out of proportion and full-blown fight – we blow bubbles and then they pop. Why is it inflation? Because there is no way someone is going to break up with their partner over forgetting to buy toothpaste – obviously something happened between the asking of that question and breaking up…

What we’re looking at is two ‘dimensions’ – you have the first dimension which is the ‘physical reality’, the actual events that take place or the reality we all have in common, and you have the ‘experiential reality’, which is how you interpret things that happen in your reality, how you become upset or sad over something, everything that you experience, that ‘takes place’ on an energetic level inside your own mind and body. I put the words ‘takes place’ in those little quotation marks, because the very nature of everything that happens in your ‘experiential reality’ is that it doesn’t really take up space – it’s not physical, you can’t touch it. We generate those experiences inside ourselves in moments, but they are not constant or stable.

When we start reacting inside ourselves (in the experiential reality/dimension) to what we hear/see in our physical reality, we change the way we perceive reality.

I’m sure you can relate to such moments, they occur so often that we have come to accept them as ‘normal’ – but let’s continue looking at them a bit further so we can really grasp and understand what it is we’re doing in such moments and how it creates a direct line of responsibility from ourselves to the phenomenon of speculative bubbles and the consequences they create in people’s lives.

Day 193: Is Equal Money Capitalism Doomed to Fail?

This blog is in response to a comment made on one of our Previous blogs:
Day 162: EQUAL MONEY CAPITALISM - The Way Forward

The idea of equal contribution, equal share, equal this and equal that is probably doomed to failure form the beginning because it will require consent as to what an equal contribution really is. This is impossible to determine and thus causes conflict. Victor Schauberger develops a different viewpoint based on his observations of nature. Nature always produces abundantly so there is always enough for all. This idea is always adopted in the Venus Project. Taking these considerations into account, I believe it is possible to set up an "economic" system where all is indeed free and freely shared by all. - Axel

With regards to your comment I would like to draw your attention to the following Response which has been made to a similar comment on the Equal Money Goals on the Equal Money website Homepage :

The comment:
I do not like this Goal and Suggest Rather the Following…
"Who determines the "Best Possible Life for all on Earth"?" December 03, 2012 16:25

Our Response:
We live in a physical reality which works through particular laws of nature. 'What is Best' is thus never determined from someone's personal view or opinion - but derived from how things practically function and operate within this world.

Therefore, meaning of 'Best Possible Life for All on Earth' will be determined by each one through democratic means, where input must be backed up by scientific evidence and must take place within the framework of Constitutional Equality.

The same principle applies when looking at ‘what is equal’. When we say ‘providing for all equally’, we do not mean ‘providing for everyone the same’. On an individual level everyone still has different requirements in terms of tending to one’s needs – and thus the support one require will vary from person to person to reach an equal level of living standard. Within this, some will get more, other’s will receive less – depending on one’s individual situation – but the outcome remains the same in terms of having one’s basic needs taken care of and having everything in place to live a dignified Life. Determining what is required for each one to live at this level will require investigation and individual assessment which will take time and effort – but is not impossible.

Taking this into consideration, equality is not doomed to fail. In terms of ‘consent’ – all that is required to be agreed upon is that all are of equal value as Life within this world, and that one agrees that all ought to receive the support necessary to live a dignified life. In terms of determining the ‘necessary means’ for each, this will be mostly a scientific undertaking and not based on personal opinions. Conflict can then only arise when there is a point where someone does not understand why another or self receives or gives in a particular way and perceives a point of injustice/inequality to be existent. Herein, the scientific procedures/evidence would be put forward to indicate the extent to which someone receives/gives. Unless one can provide scientific evidence/proof that shows otherwise – one would have to re-align oneself according to the information put forward or go through a correctional process as insistence that something is ‘not fair’ while the evidence shows that it is equal, would indicate a form of mental disharmony within the person which requires addressing.

Day 32: Child Soldiers – Part 1

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that the phenomenon of ‘child soldiers’ is an isolated phenomenon within the world – where bad people go and take children from their homes, schools and villages to be soldiers in their war

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that I cannot do anything about the phenomenon of child soldiers within the world – as it is not manifesting within my ‘back yard’ but somewhere ‘out there’ – and that I am powerless in the face of those bad people stealing children for war soldiers

I forgive myself that I haven’t accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that the majority of children being in the position of war child / child soldier – are in this position because they ‘chose’ to do so, where they "volunteered" to join the army.

I forgive myself that I haven’t accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that the existence of war children / child soldiers comes about through young beings in this world not seeing any other alternative – and see this as the only way to have a chance to survive within this world

I forgive myself that I haven’t accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that no child in its right mind will voluntarily enlist in the army to go and kill other beings and be killed – as their ‘choice’ to enlist has been forced unto them through economic, social and religious conditions within their life environment

I forgive myself that I haven’t accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that I am in fact in a position to change and stop the manifestation of child soldiers / war children within this world – as I am in a position to change the economic, social and religious conditions which dominate Earth

I forgive myself that I haven’t accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that I am in fact one of those “bad people” who force young children into situations of war – through passively accepting and allowing the current world economic system of inequality to exist – a system designed to cater only for those who already have, and leave those who have-not in the cold – and within that I play a role within creating and maintaining the economic conditions within the world which force children to join the army to kill and be killed. Within that I forgive myself that I haven’t accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that I also form part of the solution within the realisation that I do not have to accept and allow this current world economic system to exist – and can demand change, be the change to bring about a world economic system of Equality – where all living beings are catered for equally on the principle and value of Life – instead of make-believe value as money

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to blame the evil within this world for the manifestation of war children / child soldiers – without seeing and realising the role I play within maintaining and feeding this evil within my own lack of understanding of how the world system operates and how the monetary / economic system of the world globally decides on who will live and who will die – as money is what links all human beings together within this world – where if you are lucky enough to be touched and be in the light of money you will live – and if money is out of reach, you are left in the dark

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that the cause of child soldiers / war children lies within the hands of a few “bad people” who force them into war – instead of seeing and realising that the majority of child soldiers / war children are within the position they are in due to widespread poverty, lack of access to educational opportunities and work
I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have created the conditions within this world such as domestic servitude, forced marriage, domestic violence, exploitation and abuse – where the young girls within this world would rather sign up to be a child soldier than stay at home

I forgive myself that I haven’t accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that family and ‘home’ should be places of unconditional support, where resources and education are available to assist and support the child in their development so they can be the best they can be – and not a place of abuse and exploitation forcing children to “voluntarily” sign up to join the army where they will kill and be killed --- all because money was not available to them

I forgive myself that I haven’t accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that all evil in this world has come about through the unequal distribution of money, by us humans, and the only way to reverse this evil is through putting into place an Economic System of Equality and consideration of Life as the Equal Money System which will eradicate any and all forms of Abuse currently existent within the world as they are the result of an inadequate economic system, which is not here to support All Life

I commit myself to eradicate and annihilate the existence of child soldiers / war children within this world – through committing myself to the eradication of the current world economic system of abuse

I commit myself to expose that the phenomenon of child soldiers / war children is not a manifestation “out there” about which one can do nothing – as this phenomenon is the result of our current world economic system within which we ALL participate and thus ALL play a role in maintaining and feeding it – sending children off to war – instead of being the change to no longer accept and allow this economic system and bring about a world economic system of Equality as the Equal Money System where all support children to LIVE

I commit myself to expose the economic, social, educational, religious conditions within this world which force children into a position of enlisting for the army – as they see no other alternative to having a chance to live through attaining some income through being a child soldier

I commit myself to show that everyone plays a role within creating the manifestation of child soldiers within this world and that one cannot blame “bad people” and the “evil out there” – as we are in fact the evil bad people allowing an economic system as the one we have now rule the world

I commit myself to show that war in itself is the most stupid, atrocious activity invented by humans ever – as the killing and bombing of others whose lives are equal to one’s own in the name of Money which in essence has NO VALUE AT ALL – except for the value we have given it within our minds

And thus I commit myself to expose to Money Scam which has found its way in the lives of everyone on Earth as the belief that Money is God over Life as God

Day 15: SAPs: Structural Adjustment Programs or Silent Annihilation of the Poor?

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise the consequences due to badly designed policies such as Structural Adjustment Programs where the Developed Countries apparently do the Lesser Developed Countries (LDCs) a favour through granting them a loan, where a whole bunch of conditionalities are attached to this loan which actually on work in the favour of the "Developed Countries"

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that in the current world economic system the lifestyle and consumption habits of the rich nations are only sustainable at the expense of the continued deterioration of living standards of the poor nations

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to impose rules unto other which I do not follow myself such as demanding LDCs to drop their protectionist barriers, tariffs and quotas while I as the Developed Countries will maintain and even raise more barriers to "protect" myself/ourselves from the cheap goods coming from poor countries

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that the hypocrisy of economists all around the globe is costing millions of lives

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have created a world where 21 000 children die on Earth EVERY DAY

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to make an issue of the thousands of children dying every day

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have created a world where money is more important than the lives of others -- where the media will not broadcast what is going on day in and day out in terms of people dying where a child dies every 4 seconds yet it is not considered news worthy

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have created a world where humans will only 'move' when they are triggered through "sensationalism" -- and thus the media and the news will not broadcast the thousands of people dying every day but will broadcast conflicts, earthquakes, war and tsunamis -- and within that I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that the 21 000 children (and that is only children under 5!) dying every day, is the equivalent to a 2011 Libya conflict-scale death toll happening every day, equivalent to as 2010 Haiti earthquake occurring every 10 days, a 2004 Asian Tsunami occurring every 11 days, an Iraq-scale death toll every 19-46 days -- yet somehow these sporadic events are more newsworthy and more "sensational" and the death and despair happening --every--single--day

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that I am an accomplice in child murder every moment of every day as long as the current world economic system is maintained and supported -- as the current world economic system does not care about poverty, hunger and disease when they are happening to the poor -- which turn out to be the majority of the population

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have created a world where 2.5 billion people lack access to improved sanitation -- while others have their bathrooms made out of gold

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have created a world where 1 billion children are deprived of one or more services essential to survival and development -- while others have more money than they can ever spend

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have created a world of polarity where 1.1 billion people are underweight and at the same time 1.1 billion people are overweight -- indicating that there's some serious shit going on in the world

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have created and allowed a world to exist where 40-50% of all food for harvest never gets eaten -- while more than half of the population on Earth does not get their basic food requirements met

I commit myself to change the current world economic system of murder and genocide to a world economic system of LIFE

I commit myself to expose the horror and atrocities committed daily through simple acceptance and allowance of the status quo

I commit myself to expose the media for the money-grabbing industry it is -- an industry which is not interested in truly reporting the state of the world but only wants to broadcast "News" as "Sensationalism" and since the continued suffering of our fellow human beings in the world is not "new" anymore it is simply neglected

I commit myself to the transformation of the media and "watchdogs" of the world to a media which truly report the events occurring around the world without being selective about that is broadcasted based on the motivation of money

I commit myself to expose how the current world economic system where the Money God rules, demands a child sacrifice every 4 seconds which is willingly offered by us collectively through our acceptances and allowances

I commit myself to expose the evil that has become of us humans and the extent that we will abuse one another in the name of Money and Dreams

I commit myself to a New world economic system as Equal Money where all humans basic needs will be cared for -- out with the golden toilets!

I commit myself to the re-evaluation of all economic policies as they were only ever done from the starting point of self-interest and greed and NEVER within the best interest of the whole

I commit myself to the establishment of a World Economic System which is Best for All Life
